Toys for Tots at Lucky Chance

While the Toys for Tots origins are steeped in grass roots efforts, it wasn’t until 1995; the Secretary of Defense approved the Toys for Tots as an official activity for the U. S. Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve.

Since its inception the program has distributed over 530 million toys to more than 244 million children in need.

Sunday, November 5, 2017 brought together six talented Wisconsin bands willing to donate their time for the cause.

Organized by Aces High guitarist Aaron Lane, and hosted by Kelly Jeffords bar manager of Lucky Chance the event kicked off at 3:00pm with the Killer Clowns, followed by Stories for Strangers, Strip’d, Lokke, Aces High – A Tribute to Iron Maiden and Mötley Brüe.

Hundreds of attendees filtered in throughout the event donating toys and cash to make the event a successful one.

Here is a sampling of the photos from the event; you can find more on the MetalChick Facebook page.
